ABOUT Kevin Hodge
Simply put I am Kevin Hodge and I am someone who enjoys computers
a bit too much sometimes. I have been tinkering around with this
stuff since the early 90's back when I got my first computer, an
AppleIIe with two big floppy disk drives it had. I had "Crossed
over" into the IBM clones around 1993-1995 while learning Windows
3.1 and then windows 95 when it came out. Either rate I have enjoyed
working with computers and watching them grow as systems even today
it amazes me the types and kinds of items you can get to make your
system work.
I am also a technician that enjoys helping out other people. For
some reason most people don't like some IT technicians. I usually
make them think twice about "Categorizing" us geek's.
I am a down to earth guy that understands that you may not know
everything but you sometimes want to know or are eager to learn.
I can fill that void if you like or If you rather, fix your stuff
and leave you alone. I cater to any type of work environment due
to my Military Experience I am able to deal with stressful situations
and remedy them in the most efficient and time effective manner
possible. I also worked for a Utility company in which if the systems
were down they could cause problems with monitoring equipment. I
currently am employed by a City Government and am tasked to keep
up 400 systems with over 600 users of our telephone, computer and
data networks. This is inclusive of our 911 area support, Fire Department,
and other public services for my city.
Well my qualifications spans from the fact that I have dealt with
computers and networks since elementary school with Apple computers
and appletalk networking. Moreover I enjoy computers and the challenges
that come with setting them up together. A brief overview of my
